Karolina grabbed Xavin’s arm. “Xavin, we’ve got to get out of here!”
“And do what?” Xavin asked. “Go where? The treaty has failed. No place in the Empire would accept us.”
“Then we go back to Earth,” Karolina said. “We can’t do anything here, no, so let’s just go. Let’s run away.”
Xavin looked at Karolina for a long moment. “Alright.”
