Jubilee sat in the dark pub, waiting for Jono to finish. It’d been like this ever since she’d found him. She went to where he sang, and she watched him say all those things he couldn’t bring himself to actually say.
Sometimes she wondered if he knew he was broadcasting telepathically while he sang. It wasn’t so much words as impressions and feelings, reinforcing the song, giving it power.
Jubilee had spent too much time around telepaths not to notice, though she didn’t say anything. It was a beautiful thing.
Almost as beautiful as one of Jono’s all to rare smiles.
