That's it. I'm having the right mind to give up playing Final Fantasy X. I've been trying to defeat Seymour Natus and Mortibody at Bevelle for 3 hours now and... bleh. Looked up on walkthroughs and each one had a different theory on how to defeat him

Do You Know Hastega? Cast it on the party, and, if you only have haste, cast it on Rikku. That'll make it easier for her to use Al Bhed potions. Try to use more agile characters; though Auron is a strong hitter, its rare for him to get "missed" by a flying enemy.
Try to fight only the mortibody, because, once you take down 4000 hp from it, it syphons some from its host. Seymour can be poisoned, and silenced, so do both on him, and that will make him loose about 1200 hp every turn. it will also perevent him from casting those damn multi-spells (god I hate those).
The Aeons thing is better saved for the next Seymour, TRUST me.
Hope That Helped! <3

there are two more Seymours. That guy like, never dies. His 3rd form is the hardest by far, so...USE THAT GRID! You'll fight him after you get to Mt. Gagazet. (am I telling you 2 much?). That battle hates me. It took me 9 tries.
Anyway, thats the best advice I have! ♥

Horrible Seymour. Horrible, horrible Seymour! GAH! XD Nah, you're not spoiling anything for me; I know how the story goes. I just don't know how many times I may have to fight Seymour.
Thanks for the advice! I may need multiple times before I even succeed. Poor Leon's going to get strangled... my adopted Cloud would not like that XD

Don't use aeons, since they'll only get killed.
Stock up on soft.
Don't attack Seymour directly, as he will counter with a multi-spell.
Focus your attacks on Mortibody since it will drain Seymour's HP after it runs out. After that, cast reflect on Seymour.
Basically, the guide book doesn't tell much, so I guess your best bet is to level up, since there are 2 save spheres in the area.
