Another day, another dollar

Monotonous, that is what I would call my life this week. The last few days have followed the same predictable pattern:

1. Drag myself up from bed, get dressed, grab things.
2. Drag myself to street where I can get a cab.
3. Drag myself up a flight of stairs to my office.
4. Sit in chair, turn on computer.
5. Check email, LJ, Gawker sites, other blogs ( Read more... )

work stories, i have too many gifs, china nuttiness

Yay to Winnie the Pooh gifs!! :D

Usually my response to someone who wants to break from the routine would be "let's go hang out tomorrow for lunch and go somewhere fun!" Unfortunately, you're living thousands of miles away from me. >_< Life sucks.

For presents... hmm... how about a nice pen (or a stationery item)? A mug? A picture frame with a picture of the horrors and tediousness of the office from which they're escaping of everyone? A box of chocolates? A bottle of wine? :P

Going out to lunch does help, but then you have to return to the monotony! Though, if we could, I'd totally go to lunch with you. We could get Chipotle!

Yeah, I've resorted to googling "presents for coworkers who are leaving" lol...

Cheer up! At least your life is about as boring as mine! I understand the monotone that is life right now! Hope things will get more exciting for you though! But you're going to Amsterdam! So enough excitement to be looking forward to ^^! Do you already know what places you want to visit in Amsterdam, by the way?

Are you sure the weird girl actually knows why people wear headscarfs or that it at all has a religious background? She sounds like a bit of an 'I don't care about much anything' type of girl. Then again, I'm just basing my opinion on your observations of her :P So, what do I know, right? lol :P

I'm super excited to go to Amsterdam! I'm woefully ignorant of things to see though. I know more the kind of experience I want, a leisurely holiday where I wander round museums, sit in cafes (and drink real coffee), go bike riding in the countryside, and stand on bridges looking at tranquil water. *sigh* heaven.

I actually highly doubt she knows anything about the religious background of the headscarf. Most of the kids here have such a shallow knowledge of things outside of China, and they don't seem to want to learn. It's an odd attitude when all of them are trying to go abroad for college. Seems a bit counter-intuitive.

Are you going to Amsterdam all by yourself or are you taking someone with you?

Amsterdam is kind of a chaotic place to be honestly :P I don't think you will be able to just stand on a bridge and look at 'tranquil' water :P And there's not much of a countryside to bike through in the city itself, actually Amsterdam really is the New-York of the Netherlands :P I suggest you head out to the islands if you want to go biking and look at tranquil water, LOL xD, hell I'd go with you! I'd love to go to Texel or some other Dutch Island again sometime! It's been a while :P

That is pretty counter-intuitive 0.0 Weird too.. I guess it's just one of those things we'll never quite understand.. :/

Haha I guess I think the Netherlands and I can only picture windmills and tulips. But don't worry, I can definitely still have a calm holiday in a chaotic place.

I'll be going with my parents at first, but they'll likely take a road trip to Belgium or Germany since they've been to Amsterdam before. I'll be in town by myself from around June 30th to July 4th. Oh, and I think a friend of mine from HK will be joining me for some of those days.

And yes, I'd love to go to the islands! I gotta go get a guidebook or something and read up.

The one thing I like about the rut is that I have been reading more, always a plus.

These Winnie Pooh gifs are adorable!
When I'm working my day is dull as well, even if it might not look like it because I drag myself to meeting friends, totally exhausting me... xD

I think work just makes everything dull. It's almost the weekend though, hurrah!
