I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS PROGRAM AT UAB! and I am very excited. plus i got my hair dyed red today and it's crazed.

in other news, i want more cookies. i haven't made them yet but i'm really craving them. and tomorrow we're going to dreamland for celebration things.

as in .. what we all got interviewed for? like you got accepted to that? if so or even if not so- that is so amazing and wonderful! omg I'd be doing cartwheels.. that is so, so great.
did they just send you a letter in the mail? i'm just scared because if you're talking about what we all got interviewed for- i haven't received anything at all about it. that could a) very well mean that i was just simply not accepted or b) the rejection/acceptance letter has not arrived yet.
this wait, either way, should be interesting. sigh.

yes!! that one! did you do both interviews? one was for the university honors (and i haven't heard from them yet) but i just got my letter from the sci and tech people yesterday, so you should be hearing from them soon since we interviewed the same weekend.

that's so great! actually i just did the one, general university honors interview. that's so amazing about your acceptance business! it rulessssssss!
i hate that i'm basing so much upon whether or not i get into that honors program.. good god, sarah.

well i don't blame you. kristin said that she's not going to uab unless she gets into the honors program and i'm sure you'll have no problem! i really just don't care all that much, it's just an added bonus =]

we should hang out sometime. or something along those lines.

Boredom finally got the upper-hand...I've made a new 'journal' for my ignorant scribblings. I filled up my notebook, so I'll probably be adding things to it pretty often.

Sorry I couldn't come have cookies the other day...the fat lady kept me working like a mule from morning to...well...the next morning. I'll definitely make that up to you as soon as the opportunity arises, if you'll still have me.

If you're nice, I may just explain my name.

i just made more cookies (as in the last batch is in the oven right now) but you're always welcome to come over. i've been having a craving for chocolate sour cream pound cake if you're up for it =]

i bought a 20 gallon tank yesterday! i'm so excited. i don't know what kind of fish to put in it yet (i'm setting it up tomorrow so i'm going shopping on wednesday i think). any suggestions?

I don't know too much about fish, but for some reason, I've always liked those cleaner-fish that suck the scum. I guess it's inevitable to have those...so I guess I'd be an easy-to-please fish owner. While I think they're a bit ugly, those tumor-goldfish have always intrigued me. If you get one of those, I'll have to poke it.

The name "sispeks" is actually "skepsis" backwards, which is philosophic doubt as to objective reality (or, more broadly, a skeptical outlook). I'm not sure what made the word pop to mind or caused me to reverse it, but I'm prone to whimsy.

Congratulations on the whole situation at UAB, by the way. That's really great. I got my acceptance letter from UAH today, and the philosophy department may give me a grant, so I'm pretty excited. If I like them enough, I'm not sure that I'll even transfer out...but if I do, I may wind up at UAB as well. I guess I'll just have to play it by ear.

actually some people have tanks just of sucker-fish. you can buy algae tablets to feed them, they're like miniature green frisbees. i'm going to pick out fish tomorrow with my mom and sister. i've already asked amanda if she'd like to come with me to get some more over the weekend, you should come too =] i want to see you with short hair.

i really hope you end up at uab because it would be massive fun. by the way.
