When Nico poked his head in the doorway, he was mostly checking to see that this weekend there was no strangeness happening. It seemed he and Jason couldn't get away from the weird and he was kind of not wanting to deal with anything crazy if he could help it.

Well, crazier than a week of seriously annoying rain.

And what did he find? Jason reading a novel. While it was insanely nerdy, it was way better than him being five or a redhead or anyone having turned into an animal. "How's the book?"

Jason looked up at the sound of Nico's voice and immediately shoved what he was reading under his pillow. "What book?" he asked. Totally the picture of innocence, he was.

"What book?" Nico's head tilted, having seen that shoving move and decided to come on inside to find out what that was all about. "The one you just tried to hide from me."

Jason frowned and shifted on the bed so the book was safely behind him. "It's nothing, just something I have to read for Bruce. What's up?" he asked, hoping to change the subject.
