It seems that there is a universal constant of grains or roots dried and ground into flour and bread being made. Berries and fruits are also cooked and squashed and preserved, and hot drinks infused from plants and leaves. I absolutely love that tea-time is one of the rules of the civilised planets that no-one really changes.

Toast is indeed universal. And whenever a child of any species has an upset digestive system, no matter what the digestive system consists of, mothers force them to eat dry toast.
And you must try the scones on the third moon of Argyte. Lots of tea, though. Because they're dry. Tasty, but dry. Arid, even.

Mostly little touristy handhold size representations of buildings and scenery. I've got about eight pieces that I look at while I'm doing the washing up or waiting for the toast. Bridges are good, people will often sell you a little bridge carving. I had an ornamental palm that turned out to be partly sentient and walked off somewhere, I still haven't found it.
