this was certainly a new year's eve i will never forget.
carolyn sarah toledo: born 2:01am, 1/1/2004.
i was at the hospital from about 8pm until 10ish. lisa was still in the early stages of labor, so we decided to go back to my aunt's house to watch the ball drop. after that, we head back to the hospital at 12:30. and we waited in the waiting room (appropriately). at 2:10, christian runs in yelling "7 pounds, 3 ounces!" and shows us a few of the pics he took with his camera. after getting baby & mother cleaned up, we're allowed into the delivery room at about 2:30. she was so quiet (and by "she", i mean "the baby"). i was amazed. she wasn't crying at all. she was looking all around, and taking it all in. she looked so alert. she had a good head of hair already, too. needless to say, i was impressed. she's gonna be a smart girl. the due date has always been january 1st. she must've known.
ok its now nearly 4am, time for sleep.
