PS3: Overview so far.

Right, so I suppose it's about time for the update regarding the PS3. Forgive the randomness, I'm just gonna talk about stuff as it comes to me.

Thankfully, I'm struggling to find bad points about the machine. At the moment, there is a lack of above-average games. There are five that interest me in some way, and I already own two of them:

after re-reading your post, i realise that you weren't pointing out the negatives - more a complete review.

I should go back and make clear the positive points about the 360.

Did you end up getting your room setup over the weekend? Our loungeroom is basically the way we want it, it just need a TV Unit cabinet thing and a coffee table. And a smaller coffee table for the other (2 seater) couch.

I think I have D&D on next sunday, but I should be free for you to cruise around on Saturday.

Ah, so the 360 does that as well. Yes, it's a problem. Hopefully one that'll be fixed, although if it's gone THAT long in the 360... :-/

Completely agree re: XBMC.

What about that TVersity program or whatever it is? That's what I'm going to be trying out for my PS3.

Re: guest room. Keep Telfast in there. Problem solved! :D

I haven't changed speaker cable yet for two reasons - one, I wanted to just plug and play this weekend, and two, I want to test out the speakers in their current locations before I 'commit' with a wire-cut. So far I'm happy with the location sonically, but I might have to fiddle with the levels of the rears to really be able to tell if they're where they should be.
