This is Michelle. I'm too lazy to remember my password because it had to be reset and I haven't had it changed. ANYWAYS.

That was so good. I love R/S. I hate R/T.

I love the first scene. It actually kinda made me teary eyed. I like to imagine that they are very happy together now.

Great story!

Aww, thank you! :) I'm glad that this lessened the brain breaky feelings. That's what I'm here for!

Or somethin'.

Ahhhh. Oh, that helps. It makes everything make much more sense; even if I'd been a Remus/Tonks shipper, the way they were written in DH was just... completely weird, and everything screamed that there was more going on behind the scenes. That Teddy was unplanned and that he marries her because of the pregnancy... that makes it all fit into place, even if he did love her (which, based on everything else, is less likely).

And it's gorgeous, but you know that. I love how Tonks knows, how she loves him anyway and tells him in desperation before he goes underground, how it's such a relief on the few times he's able to be completely truthful, and how all of this is so awful and complicated and unreal compared to what he is when he's with Sirius. Oh, REMUS.

Aww, thank you so much! Your feedback is always so great; I totally look forward to it whenever I post something new. And I'm glad that this kinda sorted the Remus/Tonks situation out in other peoples' brains as well as mine. :D I feel all helpful!

Gorgeous. So very plausible and probably true and fitting and... *watches all her Remus/Tonks dreams unravel into a limp pile of thread* Oh, well. Totally worth it.

How do you churn such quality stuff out at such a lightning speed? What I wouldn't give for your talent.

Aww, thank you! :) And you . . . re-ravel (yes, RE-RAVEL, the English language is my slaaave) those Remus/Tonks dreams right now, missie! I don't want to be all ship-crushy!

To take this somewhat ridiculous metaphor to a very ridiculous place, I now have two lovely Remus-centric ship tapestries. The Remus/Tonks is bigger and more colorful, having had more time devoted to it, but the Remus/Sirius is growing. They may soon be equal.

I blame you. And the Shoebox Project.

They are kind of wonderful, aren't they? *pets the R/S*

Hee! I like this metaphor! And I very much like that you're liking the R/S. Similarly, on my tapestry, where there was once a blackened burn (because I do things Mama Black style, apparently), it now says 'Tonks/Remus' in tiny, tiny little letters. But the thing is, it's there. Fanfic is most definitely helping me sort out my issues, as have you. :D

Shit that was good, please excuse my language. I like that you went backwards, slowly revealing small glimpses of their life that told us everything. Most of all, I'm glad that Remus finds Sirius happiness after death.

What does Tonks find?

I think I liked best of all your description of Remus' feelings for Tonks. I think they make a lot of sense in their simplicity, especially with Remus being quite a bit older than Tonks.

Really nicely done! Now can you please explain to me why JKR found it necessary to kill Remus? Or, actually, were you okay with that?

Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!

What does Tonks find?

I found myself pondering this as I was writing! I think I finally settled that, in my version of things, she gets a Remus, too. Sort of like how I like to think that Lily can hang out with Snape and James at the same time. Like . . . in the instance of being torn between people you love, maybe the parts of their souls that were the most attached to each person kind of split apart to be with them? Heavenly Horcruxes! Hells yes! And . . . okay, this is why I shouldn't be allowed to think about anything for too long. Damn it, it's heaven. Anything goes. That's my final answer.

Now can you please explain to me why JKR found it necessary to kill Remus? Or, actually, were you okay with that?

I was actually totally fine with Remus, because honestly, I never thought he'd survive the series, and there was such a poignant rightness to having him there in the forest with Sirius, Lily, and James at the end. I did think that the manner in which she handled his death was sort ( ... )
