Isn't she cute?! I'm obsessed with her belt buckle, and her shoes. And the color of her hair. Basically all her accessories are the best things ever. xD The Starry Night one has a certain beauty to her, as well. I really hope some of these are released before summer.
Am I the only one who is amused by the direction they're taking with the Ken stuff this year? Like Metrosexual Ken - I mean, Shaving Fun Ken - and Ultimate Boyfriend Ken who says whatever you feel like making him say. xD
My jaw dropped when I saw Mona Lisa Barbie. She looks amazing, the outfit especially. Although I hope her arms won't be permanently bent at that angle. Sinatra Barbie is so charming with her outfit and pose. Plus, she's on the Pivotal body? I love when they do that.
I think you mean Tokidoki, not Skelanimals. And wow, I really want that one. Pink hair + Tokidoki tattoos + cute outfit = yes. I bet she will be expensive, though. I like how original the Holiday Barbie is, even if her dress is a little oddly shaped. There's no red or white, so she looks totally different from the 2010 one. Also, I love that Francie. She's adorable.
He's back together with Barbie and now has to be the pinnacle of good boyfriends? xD I don't even know, but it is rather hysterical.
I tend to suspect Mona Lisa's arms are articulated (Morticia's arms are like that, too, to give her the 'crossed arms' pose in the box). Guh, I am in love with everything about her. And I ADORE the Sinatra doll, she is killing me with perfection. Agreed about the pivotal body! I pointed that out to my mom, too. I really like that they did that (I suspect the Elvis doll is also a pivotal girl, they just didn't "pose" her quite as much). It adds character to them. :)
I think you mean Tokidoki, not Skelanimals <- No lie, I always thought these were the exact same thing. LOL. What...is Tokidoki? I feel like I'm missing some huge cultural movement here. She might not be too expensive (the Hello Kitty and My Melody dolls were only around $30-$35?), it depends on who they're targeting that towards, I guess. Her accessories are too fun.

Tokidoki is basically a brand that produces a little bit of everything, with their cute little characters on it. Clothing, accessories, urban vinyl figures, stationary...I guess they're sort of like the high-end version of Sanrio. I have some of the figures and two purses from them, and sadly they are pretty expensive. I'd have tons more of their stuff if I could afford it. I'm definitely going to try and save some money for this doll though. I wish there was a release date for her.
Thank you!!! You've taught me something! :D I think I got them confused because her little bracelet's logo reminds me of the baby skeletons. It's really, really cute regardless. I hope she isn't too much. And I wish there was a release date for quite a few of these. WANTS. *grabby hands*
The Vintage-inspired ones are just so beautiful and classy. I'm not sure I love the Starry Night one's dress, it seems...way off period to be representative of Van Gogh, though the print (and her hair/makeup) is beautiful. The shoes are awesome, I had no idea they took those from one of the Fairytopia girls. xD I don't know, I think I'd need to see her in person, but the Da Vinci I will be lying in wait for.
The Holiday dress would work better for me if the middle piece was green and just the back bit of the skirt was gold. It's a lot of shiny, and it takes away a bit from the beauty of her face. I do love the emerald shade of that green, though.
I have to have the Sinatra doll, there's just no way around it. ;) I'm not sure if she has the Barbie Basics stand or the ModelMuse stand (which is what the pivotals have come with before), which looks like this:
If you zoom in on it, it looks like blond highlights mixed in with the brown. I think it's sort of meant to get the dreads look across without ACTUALLY doing his hair that way. There's also white threaded through a couple of his braids.
They're definitely Barbies, you can tell by Penelope's character's (what is her name?) face sculpt. GUH, Will and Elizabeth have needed to be done by Barbie for years now.
