Inuyasha, once he had overcome his shock, snarled at his elder half-brother, who lay atop Kagome in the aftermath of the battle.
An idea crept into his head, and Sesshoumaru chuckled darkly. “Jealous, Inuyasha?” he taunted in response to his younger half-sibling’s growling as he pressed himself against the trapped miko.
Kagome wiggled uncomfortably under the taiyoukai’s weight. “Ano… Sesshoumaru-sama?” she whispered, suddenly fearful of what the inuyoukai would do.
Keeping his eyes on the increasingly furious hanyou, he lowered his head next to her ear and murmured so only she could hear, “I have decided to give my aid to your situation, miko. A happy ally is a loyal ally.”
She barely had time to digest the words before he pulled his head back and pressed his lips softly against hers. She gasped, but soon relaxed a little and closed her eyes when Sesshoumaru made no attempt to push beyond a chaste touch.
Inuyasha sputtered in inarticulate rage at the sight but hesitated to attack, for doing so would undoubtedly injure Kagome in the process. The taiyoukai ended the kiss and helped the miko off the ground, gently shoving the dazed girl at the hanyou with a satisfied smirk.
