Hee! I watched MUNCLE when it first came out. AND of course I saw Star Trek from Day One.

MUNCLE started out campy and goofy. Then it turned into a more serious spy series. Then it turned back into campy and goofy, just before it got cancelled. I think the producers weren't sure what sort of show they wanted it to be.

Glad to hear your assessment. Once I made some comment about the show being campy on Crack_Van and the reccer took a bit of umbrage and insisted that the episode that I had mentioned as campy was really very chilling if you thought about it. It was the episode with the all blond lady racing team that they're giving a potion to that brings them back from the dead. And they keep tying Napoleon to hilarious exercise equipment.

Chilling indeed. I have decided that Shatner/Nemoy episode I saw was some sort of crazy time travel thing on the Enterprise.

Oh, some fans do take their shows too seriously, really. And I know I say that as shouldn't. :-)))

But MUNCLE truly was a camp-fest. It was never a serious spy show, except for that brief period. But it was fun, and then, amazingly enough, someone created a little comedy show called Get Smart, as a parody of a parody. :-)))
