Sadly, as of 17 April, rice products are no longer safe--contamination by melamine has been found in rice gluten as well (forcing me to pull at least one brand off the "safe foods" list, probably others to follow).

Now, if your pet food has rice gluten in it, you may want to withdraw this as well.

a) Additional recalls, now Canadian Menu Foods plants already implicated (then again, most of us who've been following this have been treating *all* Menu Foods product as suspect)--this includes confirmation of a report of Nutro pet food which was not from the two US plants previously linked to the ( Read more... )
