Some undetermined amount of time later...doesntsaymuchOctober 16 2010, 21:32:44 UTC
Teller lay on his back, staring up at the ceiling. He almost seemed asleep, if not for the deck of cards in his right hand. He's off in his own little world right now, practising one-handed cuts, shuffles, and flourishes.
He probably could do this in his sleep, actually...
"All right, calm down Teller, you're going to open up your wounds if you're not careful." Guppy says.
"Clearly you're feeling better, but you're not ready for discharge yet. Unfortunately. Please stop harrassing George. If you think he was behind your attack, take it up with Security."
He tries to wave Guppy away, but isn't terribly successful at it. What he does manage, however, is to finally calm down and catch his breath. To a point.
Okay, if we're honest, he's just reduced to sniggering to himself, which doesn't hurt near as much.
"What the hell is your problem?!" He's not yelling now, he just looks and sounds hurt. "I just saved your life last night, man, and I thought we were, if not friends, getting there."
"I am getting tired to the point where it's impairing my judgement. I just need someone to watch these two.
Teller seems to be well enough to keep pranking George, but he needs at least another night in here. George can go when he feels up to it, but Teller believes George was behind his attack, so he'll need to be questioned as part of the Security investigation."
"Go, sleep." Shufti says, waving him off. "I know where you are if they deteriorate."
She sits on a chair, facing the two, and polishes her crossbow.
Well George was going to try for sleep again if the nutter would stop laughing. He rolled his eyes and would have napped again if it wasn't for someone else arriving. Someone with a crossbow that for some reason nearly made him hyperventilate. He didn't know why, but part of him clearly did.
Yeah, Teller's with the nut on this one. Seriously, he hadn't done anything actually violent (the tray totally does not count!). Armed guards really aren't necessary.
Okay, this just puts Teller back on edge. He tries to move as far away from George as possible, which really isn't very far at all, given he's still on the bed and hooked up to everything.
"Hey!" Shufti says, not aggressively though. "Calm down, both of you. I'm just here to babysit you two. I carry weapons because I'm a member of Security. I'm not going to shoot anyone unless you're about to kill the other and nothing else had worked. Give me a little credit."
She holds up the t-shirt. "I'm just sewing holes up from my kid's sports shirt, nothing threatening.
And George, you're in here to rest, I'm not going to question you right now, or Dr Sandhu will be after me for unfair treatment of patients."
He probably could do this in his sleep, actually...

In all the fuss earlier, a lime-scented condom wound up near enough for Teller to reach.
He unwraps it, and uses its latex content as an advantage.
Those things stretch really well, which make them excellent for flinging across the room.

It hits him in the face.
He picks it off and goes back over.

Still, he does his best to look very sheepish right now. He's usually quite good at it.

"Problem, Guppy?" she asks.
Guppy hesitates, then admits.

Guppy, much relieved, goes out to sleep.

She then cleans her sword.
After a while, she puts both away, and gets out a child's PE top from her bag to sew the holes up. How Jack gets into these messes, who knows?

"Is this all really necessary?"
