Calls after a certain time freak me out, you always assume bad news if it's time no one normally calls I think, so If I was you I'd have been freaking out, but I think it's really nice to see someone going so far out the way to help someone else, so many other people wouldn't have done that.

I am glad I am not the only one whose heart leaps in their chest when the phone rings at night! I did find it really nice that the woman went to all that trouble - I probably would have looked in the phone book for the person's name and if I hadn't found it, I don't know that I would have kept trying to help. Now I will though because I will remember this lady helping someone I know.

If my Dad gets woken up by a phone call he always thinks it's bad news, because it has been before, so it does get everyone in my house hearts thumping.

It was really nice of her, I know a lot of people who wouldn't bother to do anything at all. I'm sure you'd do the same :)

Awwwww thank you so much!! XD My birthday was decidedly AVERAGE this year. I think I'm at the top of a downhill slide...

You're welcome, darling! I remember ten years ago when I expected birthdays to be a big deal. Now I am happy if the day is just pleasant. <3

I"m glad it was good news but for me I always go huh at early morning ones. I can answer and sound coherent while half asleep.

It was nice to see someone going to so much trouble to help a stranger. I am like you - it is those early morning calls that have me too confused to know what is going on. I think I do better with middle of the night calls because I am so panicked by what the emergency could be that I get full-on awake in seconds.

Nice to hear about the Good Samaritan.

Edit: Oops. Sorry, I had not seen that batch of pictures. I had previously seen another batch of very good pictures. Two of the pictures came from the "I'm Sorry" campaign where a bunch of Christians went to a Gay Pride Parade and had signs apologizing for all the hatred and shunning.

Anyway 20 other cool pictures

And thanks for those 40 pictures.

Oh, you made me cry with that link but they were all so wonderful. I loved the signs at the bookstore and the dry cleaners. I loved the man giving his shoes to the homeless woman. And the protesters making a birthday cake for the general and the way he hugged her afterwards. And the man saving the elderly woman's dog that fell off the bridge especialy when you consider he was there to scatter his grandmother's ashes. And the store manager who took the time to write back to the little girl.

Just lovely, all of them.

I have to go wipe my eyes and nose now though! <3

That was really fabulous of the woman. Reaffirms a persons faith in the basic kinds of humans. But I totally agree that phone calls after a certain time are always bad news.

Oh geeze, those are killer photos. *wipes eyes* We had an exhibit of the Pulitzer Prize winning photos come through last year and I cried all the way through the museum and these are just as heart-wrenching.

It was lovely that someone would go to that much trouble to track down the ex-cousin and help her out. Sometimes people pleasantly surprise you.

I know, those pictures had me crying and smiling at the same time. They were unbelievably moving.

Oh, I would have loved to have seen that. I love a good photo exhibit and I find the good ones can really touch you.

bugeyedmonster left a link in the comments above for another good set of faith-restoring photos.
