My Comic Con post, at last! It was about 1 1/2 hours of a drive, but my dad gave me birthday money so we could get a hotel room. That eliminated an extra three hours a day for us, thankfully. It really, really was. I had such a good time at MCCC. And I can't believe that one of the things from my Dream Bucket List That Will Never Happen - meeting James Marsters - actually did happen. I am still flying high from it!

There were a few hiccups along the way - I am drafting an email for the convention on having better training for their volunteers in handling disability accommodations - but those were just a blip in an otherwise wonderful fangirl experience. Any one of the things from that weekend would have been enough to make it a great experience, but the combination of it all was just amazing all the way around!

James was very, very cool! I love when it seems like they are there because they really love it, love the people, enjoy themselves, as opposed to yeah this is nice but still a job, you know? James seemed like he as there for the experience as much as the work. And Graham McTavish, omg, he smelled so nice. If a person can smell Scottish, then Graham was it!
And you would have loved the cosplay. There was a Harry Potter and Hermione with a baby and the baby was dressed as Hedwig! We ran into them after the con at Red Robin, in the bathroom, changing the diaper and were talking to someone we recognized from there (still half dressed in her Robin outfit) and the Mom was like, "Oh we were there too, this is Hedwig," and we all fussed over her. It was six of us in the bathroom at Red Robin all from the con, all chatting away while Hedwig's diaper got changed, lol.

It really was. It was an amazing experience all around, but also just a nice day with me and my sister, hanging out, being fangirls together. It makes me smile to think about it and that's lovely.
