Everyone Is So Bamf-ey Now.

My back hurts. Though I am unable to tell if it is really my back or actually my stomach. I think the tea I am about to drink will help. Tonight I was going to bitch about some family things and how I felt kind of grumpy all weekend - and I may come back to this because the one thing in particular has been an ongoing issue for me - but right now ( Read more... )

It was COMPLETELY FUCKING AMAZING. I was too fascinated to do my usual point-by-point reaction post, but maybe next week.

Carol was funny with the "wanna screw around," and I liked it, but I also felt like it was fan-servicing more than character-appropriate. *ducks and runs* :P

Did you do the synched screens thing? They had ongoing poll questions that popped up about every three minutes of air time on amctv.whateveritis, gore-ratings for some of the stuff, and instant replays that you could watch during the commercials! It was big fun!

I screamed, "Now cauterize it, damnit!" And I totally startled The Awesome Husband TM when I did. Mua ha ha!

Sadly, TWD did NOT prevent school dreams last night, though. Oh, well. I think it was because of coming back from Fall Break. Maybe on a regular Sunday I'll be okay, yes? That would be nice.

Wasn't it just?! I am glad it was just fascination that kept you from posting - I was worried it was paperwork or exhaustion.

Naw, I won't throw anything at you. I didn't feel that way though. I felt like it was showing us character-development from where we last saw them. It's been a whole winter and Carol has let go of some of her grief enough to be joking around and Daryl has loosened up enough with her to be comfortable around her. That may be the shipper in me with the wishful thinking but I stand by 'character development'!

Did you do the synched screens thing?

Nope. That sounds cool though! We don't watch it real time. It is on at 10pm and my sis has to be up and getting ready for wok at 5am, so we always watch after dinner on Mondays.

A totally reasonable assumption, but I think my main failure to post was because of the synched screens. When I would normally have been typing comments, instead, I played amctv games! So maybe this Sunday I will not do the synched screens, and instead will open up a word doc and touch type as I watch.

I would like to say we freaked out the cats with all the screaming and stomping, but sadly, they are used to the crazy from us. That was what made TAHtm's reaction so GREAT. He usually does not get surprised by my reactions.

Can you get overtime for that? Sadly, no - dream work is even less recognized than waking overtime by a teacher payscale - but they both rate the same amount per hour.

Almost time for Supernatural! The season 8 opener was, I thought, better than pretty much all of season 7. We'll see if they can manage to continue that trend.

Hey, if you enjoyed the synched screens, you go right ahead and do that. I mean, you and I will end up talking about the episode in some thread or another anyways and my opinion is the only one that matters, right? RIGHT? lol No? Okay.

It made me laugh to see that The Awesome Husband TM has now gotten an abbreviation - TAHtm. 8)

There are certainly complaints but I have to remind myself that even during my favorite seasons, I had complaints. There are some new interesting characters and even though they didn't do with Purguratory what I would have liked (I thought they should let the boys be separated for a little while into the season) - I do really like what they have done ( ... )

Thank you, darling. I don't think my grumpy state of mind was helped at all by how grey and windy and down-right nasty the weather was either. I never did figure if it was my back or tummy - I just put an icy-heat patch on my back and a heating pad on my stomach and went to sleep. I feel better now, thanks, though I have gotten a cold. Boo Michigan weather.

OMG CAN WE TALK ABOUT HERSHEL'S LEG? I FREAKED THE FUCK OUT.

I was a lil weirded out with Beth flirting with Carl LOL. I'm still a li'l iffy on Carl but it is good to see him starting to be badass. It made me think a little of Dean, having to grow into this position that's horrifying for a child. From the Dragoncon panel, they said he really comes into his own this season, so that'll be nice.

IKR?! It was AWESOME and BADASS but both myself and my sister had to cover our eyes and squeal in disgust and horror. At one point I peeked out from behind my pillow to see my sister was peeking out from between her fingers, and yet, she totally had her eyes closed. lol

I was a lil weirded out with Beth flirting with CarlI was too at first because for some reason I remembered Beth being like 16, which is apparently not correct. But I wasn't that weirded out because since Sophia died, I have been cracking jokes about how Beth is Carl's future wife. I mean, it's not like either one of them have many other options, assuming they live that long ( ... )

Except...doesn't the fever start as soon as one of the walkers bites you? I know everyone is already infected, but then what caused some people to get the fevers and sickness and turn into zombies and not others? Would it really matter if Rick chopped off his leg right away if it's blood-borne? It shouldn't; he was infected the minute the walker bit him. Chopping off the leg is not going to prevent the zombie illness from infecting his bloodstream. It would be like cutting off your arm to try to prevent malaria after being bitten by a mosquito.

They need to address some of the zombie inconsistencies. They keep changing shit from season to season.

Obviously I am thinking about this too much.

Also, Paranormal Witness was lame last week. I hope tomorrow is better.

Your icon is made of awesome-sauce!

Idk, but in this particular instance, the reason I thought the leg-chopping-off might work was because they made a point of showing this shot of the black goopy stuff in the bite area, which makes one think that it is something that can spread outwards like that. (It keeps making me think of something else, in some other movie with a black goopy infection thing, but it is on the edge of my mind and I can't figure out what it is from).

I'm trying to remember what the show's past mythology is. But with Andrea's sister, she was bitten so badly that I think she died from the bite. Though with Jim, it did seem to be like a virus or infection.

It would be like cutting off your arm to try to prevent malaria after being bitten by a mosquito.

This is true.

I made that icon just for you so I could use it to post during Paranormal Witness, LOL. I made the one I'm using on this comment too. That evil-looking face is one of the animatronics from the Haunted Mansion at DisneyLand ( ... )

a) Dude, you made those icons? AWESOME. and b) Omg, I think I like the ghost one even better. It looks like a fucking creepy version of the Peanuts' Halloween costumes. Wicked cool.

Hmm, I guess I didn't notice the black goo all over his leg.

That's what it looked like to me anyways. (still bugging me what the movie it reminds me of is).

Although...I don't think it would even matter if there was a zombie infection because the zombie mouth is dead and full of awful, awful things!

Right? I hadn't thought of that but dude, yes! Without tetnus shots, they all gonna die anyways.

My first vote: annoying Glen and whatherface who used to be on Show. Goodbye again, Bela! What?! How do you not like Glen? Glen is my favorite! From the minute in the first season when Rick is stuck in that tank and Glen ( ... )
