I am mystified at the idea of paying a thousand pesos for a pair of tsinelas - even more for the rare ones! One mom from PEx is asking me to buy some for her from eBay UK, and the total cost for two pairs of slippers, including shipping to Sweden is about 40 GBP (about 4,000 PHP). I only have four pairs, and I don't really intend on getting more. I love them because they're comfortable, period. Not because they're trendy, not because they're cute (although cuteness is a bonus! hahaha!). I've only tried Mixstar flipflops from Thailand and they scratched the sides of my toes, so the skin started peeling off (yuck!)...plus I'm ALWAYS in slippers in UP so it's a good investment for me. :)

Oops. Reading the other comments made me realize I shouldn't have said "only" four pairs. But I think that's forgivable given that other people have like, 10 or something. :O I have four pairs because I'm quite compulsive with most things - if I like it, I need to have it in lots of colors. So I have black, brown, navy blue and pink (my fave color) Havs, and three of them have a bit of a heel so I wear them everywhere talaga. that's all. hahaha!

I think only having 4 pairs despite the fact that you like them so much shows that you have a lot of self-control hehe. At mukhang sulit naman sayo yung Havs since you wear them all the time.

Did she buy the special edition Havs in Pinas or have them shipped pa from abroad? How much are the Athens Crocs?

Sa bagay, I don't mind paying a few thousand pesos for a really comfy pair of sneakers. But I buy only one at a time (and only if they're on sale hehe), and I've owned my current pair for 3 years na :D

I love my Havs kasi very comfortable. Pero dami na kasi fake ngayon kaya nakakainis. I have two pairs. Yung first, may strap sa back the other one may cherry button accent. I also got a pair for my 3 yr-old son. May strap din kaya terno kami. :)

Ok din yung Crocs. My son has one pero nakabalot pa, it's under the Christmas tree. :)
