Only people who've never had kids are perfect parents

Before I had a kid, I knew exactly what kind of parent I was going to be. For one thing, my children would never go to bed hungry. Proponents of tough love would give their kid his dinner, and if the kid didn't like it, the parents would say, "well, that's all you're going to get" and not give him any more food until the next morning. I love the title of this post, so true. As parents we are bound to do things we wish we can undo, but we are humans. We just do the best we can with what we know and the circumstances we're in. You're right, the situation was hardly scarring. Geri

Thanks Geri! I guess as long as we arm ourselves with information from doctors and people we trust, form our decisions with love and respect, we shouldn't regret our inevitable mistakes because our kids will understand naman.

People's feelings are generally hard to understand. And as a parent, I think you did your best. It happens. (I should know, I saw two sisters being complete drama-queens towards my mom on normal days and when the time came that they're actually sick, we couldn't tell the difference so much. Darn good actresses at such a young age. D:)
I hope she's doing better now.
