Before I had a kid, I knew exactly what kind of parent I was going to be. For one thing, my children would never go to bed hungry. Proponents of tough love would give their kid his dinner, and if the kid didn't like it, the parents would say, "well, that's all you're going to get" and not give him any more food until the next morning. Parenting is a constant learning experience. We always learn something new. Sometimes we make mistakes but that's part of being a parent. We become better parents when we make it a point to learn from our mistakes.

one of the hardest things talaga about parenting is consistency... and it's hard to follow your instincts din when you're not sure what they're telling you...

anyway....

always remember for 2009 that life is short so break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, be thankful, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile... may this new year bring more blessings and opportunities for greatness your way :)

*hugs* i hear you. we parents always try to do the best for our kids but we're far from being perfect, and i think all of us has guilt feelings for reacting otherwise. but well, what is perfect anyway?
