Well, I think you've about covered everything. I agree with all this.

Mickey was probably the character that needed to grow the most. I mean Rose had her moments of selfishness etc, but Mickey really needed to grow up too.

It wasn't really a matter of deserving someone; it was more a matter of being right for each other.

It was this starting point that makes Mickey such an amazing character.
Yeah, totally. Their moving apart from each other was necessary for a lot of the character development that happened for both of them.
