Nu Who Meta: did Mickey 'deserve' to lose Rose?
In The Writer's Tale, speaking of the episode Rose, RTD states:
"Oh and look at Mickey saying to Rose, 'Don't read my e-mails!' (Some people think that Rose treated Mickey badly, like she was the selfish one, but will you look at that line?! What on Earth do you think that line means? Seriously? That boy deserved to lose his girlfriend, right from the start!)"
... so, what DO you think RTD is implying that line meant? Was Mickey hiding something? Or just naturally shy? Do you agree with RTD that he 'deserved to lose his girlfriend?' Or is RTD being too harsh on Mickey for wanting his privacy? (Please note that the intent is simply to evaluate RTD's statement on Mickey - we're not trying to cast dispersions on Mickey, Rose, or any other characters).
