Wow, and I was so sure they'd cast that floppy-haired man who ran up to Clara at the beginning of the 50th anniversary to tell her she had a message from the Doctor. But yeah, I figured an attractive, young male companion would happen this season. Nice to see they've cast a minority actor.

I'm pretty curious to see what they'll do with him, and I hope he won't begin as just a comic-relief sidekick. Well, at least, he won't be the comic-relief sidekick boyfriend.
