Realistically, what are the possible chances of a future companion being someone other than a 19-25 year old attractive woman?
Mickey and Jack were fairly short-term companions compared to Rose or Martha, I'm thinking more long term. Or hell, what are the chances of there even being more than one main companion, who travels/interacts with the Doctor for more than a couple episodes? It seems like it could change the whole dynamics of the Doctor/companion interaction if there were two or more of the companions.
