Was hit Monday night with a surprise cold virus that ruined what was supposed to be my holiday day off and has left me couch-ridden since. Thanks luvvie! I think I've watched the entirety of QI over the past 3 days, hee. And all I've been inclined to eat has been that silly tinned pasta and tomato sauce that comes in shapes like Spongebob Squarepants and the like. It's just so bland and lovely!

Also d'aww shuckssssssssssssss, glad you approve! This reminds me that I have several things done for a book that I've been meaning to send off to the editor, but I get so shy about these things that I've not sent them yet :|

I WANT MY OWN OFFICE. Oh, that would be so nice. The way my workroom is set up is nice and social, but also has the unfortunate panopticon-esque consequence of the feeling that anybody could be all up in your business at any time, and sometimes you're working on stuff or writing an email that you don't necessarily want just anybody to be able to poke their nose into.

(Like, I've been contracted to work a couple slightly super-secret projects - like, things that are meant to be announced via an official launch - and it's so awkward trying to make sure nobody notices that I'm working on something weird and not strictly connected to my actual job)

(Anywho)

Ugh. I hate sick days because they're such a waste of a day off! So much for getting fun stuff done, or even ordinary stuff like cleaning. My poor house got so gross last week - I was mostly able to do dishes, but there were piles of kleenex everywhere and the windows hadn't been open for days and it was just awful. IT'S SO NICE TO BE ALMOST NOT SICK
