Honestly, I very much see the Doctor's relationship to, well, relationships, as something that changes in the same way that other parts of his personality change from one regeneration to another - and Eleven just seems to play it very asexual: the business with romance and boner allusions and stuff feel really out of character. It feels like sometimes there's a disconnect between the way it's written and the way it's played for this reason. That's not to say that anybody's not doing a good job, but there's a strange disconnect there that I can't reconcile

Matt has even said he sees the Doctor as asexual...dunno what is going on with that, but then I generally go with the flow and enjoy. Eleven is on of my favs, so I might have a tendency to handwave, lol!!
This. My gods, the spoilers I have to duck and weave around! Yeesh. And when one is depressed, scared and panicking, that generally sucks the joy out of everything (trust me, I know this one). I'm keeping my finges crossed for you, honey and hopinghopinghoping.
