I skimmed through this to avoid spoilers, but just wanted to shout hooray! It's so close now! Is this the longest gap between episodes since New Who began? It certainly feels like it!
I'm pretty stoked, too! It's about time DW tackled dinosaurs, now that they have the CGI tech to make the dinos look lifelike. That they're on a spaceship is even more awesome. : )
Nothing's been officially confirmed datewise. Some fansites have claimed it's carved in stone, but no one official has back that up yet. All signs point to it in both the US and UK, and Tom Spilsbury (of Dr Who magazine) hinted broadly at it, but until the BBC officially announces it, it's subject to change.
I'm glad to see a lot of promotional pictures coming out this year, I tend to think that helps pull people into watching the series, even if they wouldn't normally. I got kind of tired of that Vortex picture of the Doctor and Amy that felt like the only publicity pic they had in Series 5 (no matter how many times they re-photoshopped it.)
So, seeing lots of photos here is good. Maybe it's one good thing of the whole "movie poster ideas" thing they had going in the writing this year.
Plus, PERI! It was great to see her! And see her still looking like Peri. (Does happy dance.)
