Doctor Who - Series 7 Airdate/BFI Premiere Stuff
Last night was the BFI premiere of Asylum Of The Daleks and boy, we got a load of spoilers to behold us for the upcoming seventh series of Doctor Who
The event was attended by series stars Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill as well as executive producers, Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner (the latter of whom was tweeting stuff as well from the event).
Picture of Karen and Arthur with the lovely Nicola Bryant, who looked happy to be there. Surely Peri can compare notes with Amy and Rory when it comes to dying/surviving, right?
The BBC released 21 images from the first three episodes - Asylum Of The Daleks, Dinosaurs On A Spaceship and A Town Called Mercy, which I've linked below.
In terms of spoilers, here goes ...
- Asylum Of The Daleks will feature a shock revelation as well as a character from Demons Run allegedly.
- The state of Amy and Rory's marriage is a big part of the opening episode.
- The titles of Amy and Rory's last two episodes are The Power Of Three and The Angels Take Manhattan.
- Matt Smith has confirmed that he will be doing a 2013-2014 series.
- Moffat is not telling us if we're going to get a multi-Doctor special for the 50th.
- We will be getting new title sequences for every episode this year.
- The Christmas special is rumoured to be loosely based on The Snowman. Richard E. Grant's character is the villain of the episode.
- Series 7 will premiere on BBC1 from September 1st.
