I wonder if the Ponds will get baby Melody back, erasing River Song as we know her.

I think that is a possibility, which is fucked up and will make me endlessly angry, especially since not doing that was pretty much River's LAST REQUEST before she died.

Or maybe it will end the opposite of this episode, where a paradox exists and both River and baby Melody will get to stay.

I suppose Melody Pond could still grow up to regenerate into Mels and River.

My crack pot theories

I've been thinking that somehow there will be a rebooting of events and at least 2 things will happen; 1)Rory and Amy will get to raise a child. (I am not certain if said child will be River/Melody.)and 2)The Doctor will somehow come back from being shot and burned. After all they burned the Master and they brought him back with voodoo and his ring.

my spec:

River won't be erased, but she'll end up with multiple time lines like Amy and Rory. They'll get to raise her, but she'll still have the same memories, like Rory still remembers being a Centurion.

And I think Amy shoots the Doctor in Utah.

I'm leaning in this direction too. I can't see them erasing River and all she's done. Everyone else has multiple sets of memories, why not River too?

Erasing people's histories is just not what the Moff does. Even Kazran, who only has one timeline, still knows that the Doctor changed it.
