Steven Moffat is my favorite TV writer . . . ever.

I would say that he's far too clever for his own good, but I don't believe there's any such thing.

He writes, so consistently, to heal what's broken.

And he writes emotions like someone who's afraid of them.

The second I learned Moffat was going to be taking over from RTD on s5, I seriously squeed with excitement. The man who had written some of my favorite New Who episodes ever? Yes, please. I was still a little iffy on Matt at the time, but the second he came on screen and started checking himself to make sure he was still intact ("Hair... I'M A GIRL!"), I was sold.

Moffat has given us so many awesome things this season and I can't wait to see what he's going to pull out of his bag of tricks for season 6.

I want the Grand Moff to write every episode of DOCTOR WHO and every episode of SHERLOCK from now on, forever. If we have to clone him fifty times so he can do all that and still have some kind of life with his wife and family, so be it.

LOL I'm reminded of his Tweet earlier today: In Greece, spending my holiday in a darkened room with Doctor Who.

Poor guy can't even catch a holiday without having to do some work...

Pfff, come on, you're a writer, you KNOW he crept away to write something and used the excuse that "it was for work". ;D

Moff, Moff, Moff, look at what you've done to me. I've been a Who fan for a fair number of years, from hiding behind the sofa as a child to getting seriously into the new series right from 2005... but it's never been like this before. I can't get this one out of my head. I've had to make myself a whole extra LJ just so I can be as ridiculously fangirly as I want to be without having to explain it to people. I've written thousands of words of fic, spent endless hours thinking about all this stuff, and it's this series that's done it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, ongoing character, all the years of previous development, the actors, all the people who make the programme itself, make it what it is, all that, but it'd add up to nothing if there was no-one to write it. And no-one writes it like the Moff does. His episodes for previous series were always the high points, as we've seen this week, but Moff, Moff, running the whole show... I had hopes for this series, and they weren't this high. I can't imagine it being done better. Moff, Moff, you have ( ... )
