For those of you who are obviously behind on barge etiquette, I would recommend pretending that the flood never happened. Never underestimate the power of repression. After all, no one likes to be reminded of that time that they spent a whole day acting ridiculously, even if it is preserved on the journals for prosperity ( Read more... )

you should all listen to me, science bb, do not want barge, properly paranoid, i'm obviously awesome, being prepared, eames is a secret policeman, last chance saving throw, fear toxin, good and bad in the same post, dealing with people is hard

...the power of repression?

This is why what you do is considered soft science.

I'm sorry, would you rather me explain in language that's too complicated for most of the people on the barge? It's not a crime to consider your audience before speaking.

And what do you consider your audience to be?

It's a public post, Capa. Are you having trouble comprehending basic information now?

Oh god, please help me forget the pink rhino

Were you a pink rhino or was someone else?

Someone else. It...It tried to sing about cookies. It was horrible.

Please, it was hardly horrible. Gaudy at best, irritating at worst.

GUESS YOU'RE SAFE FROM ARTHAS THEN. Assuming Crane gets worried after he doesn't hear anything... doctor_j_crane December 31 2010, 02:32:12 UTC
Please do. Harass Capa about it. Lots. >:3 victimofnoone December 31 2010, 02:36:55 UTC
That's Crane's favourite game. <333 doctor_j_crane December 31 2010, 02:40:36 UTC

That depends on the information. If you were to tell me that the entire Barge might die, I would insist upon telling them what was necessary to prevent it. I can certainly prevent them from knowing it was you, if that's what you're worried about.

It's very specific and I don't want any of the other wardens to know. At all. No anonymous tip, no hints, nothing like that.

I can't promise that, Jonathan.

I trust you to tell me what you feel you can.

Funny, I don't feel like I can tell you when you can't even promise me some basic warden-inmate privilege. [Yes, Crane just invented that right then.]

Why do you care if anybody's spoken to Hayley? [Because LOL he doesn't know you two are BFFs.]

It's all those private filters they're rocking. doctor_j_crane December 31 2010, 04:18:19 UTC
That's my business. It doesn't matter anyway, since she's reportedly in a coma. [Crane: not about to keep this under wraps, because he's angry at Capa.]

Your oh, so private business that you decided to make a public post concerning. Of course.

Good, then you can leave her alone.

doctor_j_crane December 31 2010, 04:29:09 UTC
I'm sorry. I clearly should have asked everyone on the barge individually for information about her whereabouts. Because that wouldn't have had exactly the same effect as a public post.

Why are you so interested? What she does or doesn't do is none of your business.
