The sky is beginning to wake up grey and cloudy. Robert got up and I hear bathroom noises. I think he is going back to bed to hear the news. Well so far today is a better day. Hot and muggy in the forecast but better all around. Joel is going to start installing the tile behind the cabinets in the utility room. Well, I started the day dropping an eye glass on the bathroom floor. Then Robbin calls with the information that Isabeau is hanging over the toilet up chucking. What next? Breakfast is scheduled, exercises and a trip to the farmers market before going to the LTC.

Today I attended a seminar on Alzheimer's, dementia and memory. All in all not the most cheery topics. The presenter was very good with a wry sense of humor and lots of energy. The sprinkler is going on the flower bed in the front planter. I have to climb over the railing to turn off the water without getting wet - acrobatics yet. Saw another hummingbird. In celebration I am setting out another hummingbird feeder. Not much sign of fall here. Oh yes. The chickadees have arrived.

Last night I caught some of Bill Moyers on WTTW. It was later than I am usually awake but sometime winding down from giving therapy session takes longer than I expect. I enjoy other people's posts. I am trying to discipline myself to also contribute which is only fair. I just ordered a "magic" ball from Giam which is an ecologically sensitive company. Monarda's common name is bee balm. It has a susceptability to mildew after flowering like lilac bushs. I am impatiently awaiting butterflys around the butterfly bush. Dad is better today.

Last night I was watching news on channel 11 and checking the bird feeder out the window. I got up to nudge the antenna to clear the picture. I looked out the south facing bay window and there he was a hovering a ruby throated hummingbird sipping nectar from the monarda. The garden is slowly getting planted.
