The troubling aspect was that he still had enough substance left for a Clark that was eighteen inches tall. What to do?

Some of them melted into protoplasm, and the rest began to decay and develop Mr Hyde-like tendencies; chasing women around, stealing candy from children and the like. What a mess.
Not much better than those Superman robots that Supes built to guard and maintain his Fortress of Solitude. Remember those? They were always blowing a fuse and causing trouble. I seem to remember them chasing Batman around the Fortress once or twice, even trapping him in the bottled city of Kandor.
Of course, this was before Bats was in a perpetually bad mood. I wonder how he would react to that kind of shabby treatment now? Not well, I expect.
