::Misa stands outside L's room, holding a bottle of Muscinex she happened to find in the room formally known at the Pastry Room. She clutches it in her hand, her arms crossed under her breasts as she stands with a worried expression:: He-he's probably just in a deep sleep...but I'm still really worried.

::her nose is a bit stuffed so she sounds a little funny since she's breathing through her mouth::

*He is not feeling so well himself: he's overheated, his head hurts, and his throat is a bit scratchy, though that may just be caused by the post-nasal drip he's experiencing.*

*He has a very bad feeling, and it gets worse with every second that nobody answers the door.*

Well, we will just wait here until we can wake him, then.

*He sniffs, and pulls a tissue out of the pocket of his jeans, wiping his nose again. He stuffs it back into his pocket, then unleashes another volley of knocks on the door.*

Pink-san? It's Ryuuzaki and Misa! Are you all right?

::tries the knob again, even trying to force it open, but to no avail. She looks over at L helplessly, then begins pounding on the door::

L?! L, IT'S MISA, CAN YOU HEAR ME?

*His worried frown is not characteristic. He sniffs again, and says as gently as he can with his raspy throat,*

Misa, maybe we should... give him another moment to come to the door. If we just woke him up, it could take some time....

*But his heart is sinking. He's almost completely certain there won't be an answer.*

Just another day in the office. Or Mansion. Whatever you want to call it. The Assistant is in a cheerful mood, having just watched this entire ordeal go on from her office. It gives her much joy to see them all angsting over old Pink... well, except for the one L. He didn't seem too broken up, but Sissy was rather fine with that.

She strides into the room, grinning, and approaches the corpse of Pink L, directing that evil grin at Lex.

Why hello there, Lexy! Did you miss me?

*His head snaps up to look at her; his expression is keen. He understands immediately who she is, and decides to listen to what she has to say, for the time being.*

She pauses, and glances over at L, that evil grin still on her face.

She chuckles maliciously.

That probably makes me sound morbid, huh?

*With a nod of concession, he replies, in a careful and dispassionate tone,*

::shakes head, her expression pained:: Pink L is gone.

-little Near, stands in the hallway, confused (and curious) about what has happened~ what he sees is rather alarming-

Eh? M-Misa? What's... wrong?

::see's the small Near standing in the doorway, and she knows she has to make sure he doesn't see the body. She stands up and walks over to him, putting on a sad smile:: Hi Near... everythings going to be okay. See... ::she thinks for a moment, remembering how she was lied to about the death of something she cared about:: Near, do you know what death is?

Um.. yeah! 's when someone goes kaput and never comes back.. right?

-realizes the possibility of someone dying, then a slightly alarmed look takes over his face-

::smiles and actually chuckles slightly at his choice of words:: Yes, that's right, though in this place, sometime death isn't permanent.

::she smiles sadly this time:: Yes, I'm afraid so... but, we're going to see if perhaps he can be brought back... um, I'd rather you not see what's happened, okay? So, if could stay out of this room, I'd really appreciate it. ::she ruffles his hair slightly:: See, it's hard for me to see it at my age, and I don't want you to be upset, okay?
