L is having a rough week: emo-raito, his suspect, has vanished completely, and justiceishot, who he considers a friend, seems to be losing his mind. So, this particular L has been wandering the hallways of the mansion more than usual, trying to find something he can do to stop what has been happening.
His path takes him down a hallway he's passed through dozens of times, but this time, he sees an open set of double doors that... hmm... were never there before.
The room appears to be a kitchen, and it's a large one. It seems to be prepared as if for a party or reception: there are a number of small, cloth-covered tables in the room, with either two or four chairs at each of them.
The counters and larger tables are decorated nicely, and completely laden and overflowing with sweet treats! There are at least ten large, multilayer cakes in various flavors, including several strawberry cakes and one huge chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
Surrounding the cakes are pastries of all kinds: cream puffs, eclairs, rugelach, profiteroles, fruit and cheese danishes, croissants, and more... even Japanese bean paste buns. There are a few large bowls of fruit, and several large, tap-style silver servers filled with coffee and tea. Bowls of sugar cubes and pitchers of cream sit beside them, along with a number of clean, empty mugs.
