[Mello is still nine years old, and is dragging a similarly small Matt along the hallway by the hand. He stops when he sees L, his eyes wide. He may or may not hold onto Matt's hand tighter.]

"A detective?I've never heard of that..." he said almost to himself "I'm not because I'm not." he said as he stopped juggling and put the juggling balls into his pocket and walked with them.
"No I haven't." he said. It sounded interesting though he might look into it and try learning more about it later. He looks at Matt who is giggling and gives him a slightly annoyed look though Matt can't see it due to L wearing a mask and all.
[Since Mello seems to be handling the conversation, Matt takes it on himself to lead the way to the kitchen; he rounds the corner, knowing the others will follow.]
"That's a secret." he said with a small smile and put a finger to his lips.It really wasn't but come on children will believe anything these days...well at least in his world.
He smiles after a moment. "Well in my world we have flying books.If you go to a library they give you a net and you have to catch what you want to read. We also have this fruit called the future fruit. You eat it and can see the future." He really didn't like that fruit at all it made him see himself as a waiter. "We also have giant and other kinds of things walking around." Kids liked monsters like that right? Giants ogers and things? Most liked imagining fighting them at least that's what he understood from what Misa said when she was around.
