Another re-arrival.

He was running from a pack of new zombies ones that were stronger than he had previously faced. He thought they couldn't swim! His clothes are soaked through and torn at the sleeves, hem, and pant-legs there are mild scratch marks on one leg but not severe for him to raise questions about. Clutching the kamas fiercly he slashes one of the monsters

In her short time at the mansion, Misa had encountered a lot of rather strange people. There was weird blanket lady, bizarre wolf!Light and numerous versions of herself that all completely unnerved her. None of that, however, prepared her for rounding the corner and (almost literally) bumping in to a very wet, very bedraggled, out of breath L.

"Uhhh..." she took a few steps back, her eyebrows raised. "...Ryuuzaki?" he didn't seem like he was any of the L's she'd met before, but it was hard to tell. "...is everything ok?"

L glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. "Yes everything is fine. Thank you."

Putting the kamas away in a holster on his back he extends a hand to Misa. "L. Though I'm sure you know this already."

That was interesting. An L who didn't mind being referred to as 'L'.

She took his hand a little awkwardly. It was damp. And a little bit scratched.

"Uh...Misa Amane. I guess you know that, too." she paused, looking him up and down "...have you um...been up to anything interesting lately?"

"Nothing that important. So you're a new one aren't you? Do you know all the basics of the place so far?" He looks around the room for a linen closet or something.

"Large towels please, bandages, Change of clothes, and a folding wall for privacy. Oh, and a cake." He asks the room for these things and they appear on the floor a second later.

"Hope you don't mind but wet clothes are uncomfortable."

L pokes his head out of a library just down the hall from where his double has found himself; he heard the words and wants to investigate them.

He's surprised by the sight that greets him.

"Again." His eyes widen; under his hair, his eyebrows are raised. "Where were you before?"

"Zombie-land. They became amphibious and I didn't get the memo..." He pulls the towel over his head letting it hang there. He was applying a series of bandages now to the various wounds.

ooc: Thanks! Missed you all too. Hooray for the invention of laptops.

"Zombie-"

He remembers a few people who have mentioned coming from a world with zombies, but they all seemed to be from the same place, or at least identical places, and they had told him that his double there was involved mostly in the preparation of a report and might not be alive any longer. Also, the zombies there had always been amphibious. Therefore, this analogue did not appear to come from the same situation.

He has to admit the possibility that there could be more than one kind of zombie-infested world, but it makes him profoundly uncomfortable to do so. He disappears into the library again, then, a moment later, peeks out of the door. His hand also snakes out of the room, holding a small plate with several macarons on it -- pink, green, and robins-egg blue.

"Macarons."

It's clearly an offer.

"Thank you." He takes a green one. "How are things while I was gone?"

Matt stops dead in his tracks, observing the L standing before him. He was soaked practically to the bone! "Jesus H. Christ!" he mumbles, gawking without fully knowing it. "Where the hell'd you just come from? The motherfucking Amazon?"

Something like that. You know anything of the zombie sort?

"Thank God I can say hell no to that." Matt blinks twice before looking off to the left. "Ya don't seem much like a regular L... Or d'you prefer Lawliet?" Matt honestly prefers the familiarity of the full name, but he knows how L's can be... And this one seems like his Lawli before the whole B thing went down and shoved a permanent rod up his ass.

"L. Please call me L." It sounded too weird for his name to be said out loud and he preferred his code name.

"I'm from a different type of world as you know. I didn't have much of a choice when it comes to fighting these things." He used the term loosely like the mass amount of zombies didn't matter to him.

"You were there a different Matt though very talented when it came to the art of hacking and getting into the main database. We were planning an escape that went haywire because of some swimming zombies..."

Matt raiesd an eyebrow at L's obvious weapons. His blade wasn't nearly as obvious (or fancy), and he'd yet to see someone here with a weapon.

"It seems to be doing that lately."

"Seems to be doing what?" L looks at Matt curiously. Had the mansion changed while he was gone. He put the hand scythes away and turned his full attention towards Matt.

ooc: You should it would be nice to have someone from another zombie thing. They could share tactics! lol

"Bringing people back who have been away for awhile. I don't think I recognize you, though." He shrugged.

"I don't think you would remember me. I was here for a short while before I went back to my world." He explained.

::Rounding the corner, Misa's a bit taken back to see an L applying bandages to wounds. She rushes over::
Oh my goodness, are you alright?! Would you like me to help?
::she pauses for a moment, staring at him with a little tilt of her head::
Wait, you...you've been here before, haven't you?

"Been better nothing a few bandages and cake won't fix." L says with a smile. "I believe we have met before. I remember you you're the one that is dating an L aren't you?" He finishes tightening one bandage and reaches for the tape.

Yes, I am! I'm sorry, it's been so long since I've seen you and there are so many L's that come in and out of here - could you remind me of a past conversation we may have had? I want to make sure I know exactly who you are.

"I don't quite remember the conversation. but I know it was you." He finishes the last bandage and stands up now.

"Now about that cake.."
