[Matsuda stumbles over to the corner of the room where the karaoke equipment is setup. He nearly trips over the microphone stand, but clutches it last moment to regain his balance. Yanking the microphone from the holder, he lifts his free hand, pointing out at nothing in particular.]

*Nate thinks this room is his and Lawliet's room, and immediately steps into the room.*

Law- Wait.. Why does this always happen in my room?! Is the mansion up to me?

[Approaches him after he finishes the song.]

Hello! This is your room?

*Nate frowns, then brightens up.. He's not usually like this.*

It was supposed to, but i guess it isn't. Isn't the door blue?

[He blinks a few times.]

Uhhh, I don't know.

[The giant grin returns.]

Heeeey, I know you!

[The room tilts suddenly sideways. Arms pinwheeling wildly, L corrects his balance and smiles beatifically.]

Ah! Touta. C'mere, please. [extends his hands for a hug] I've missed you.

[By this point of the evening, a lampshade is adorning Matsuda's head.]

Hiiiiii, Ryuzaki~

[Embraces L into a tight hug.]

[The grin etched on L's face grows sappier as he sags in Matsuda's embrace. He giggles into the Investigator's ear.] Good man, Touta, good man. I've allus... always... appreciated your efferths.

[Matsuda giggles back.]

[He pumps a victorious fist in the air.]

[Light hasn't drunk alcohol in his life, no matter what Misa had occasionally tried to force on him: he meant to try it when he turned twenty, but by then he had ... more important things to worry about, and couldn't risk anything that might loosen his tongue. So when he steps into the kitchen, only to have the equivalent of a 24-hour bender drop over him, he can't help but feel dizzy, shaky. In fact, he stumbles backwards and sideways into the wall, and collapses into a confused, crumpled heap. The room is spinning and blurring, and he feels as if he might be sick, except-

-then he passes out, face relaxed and pinkish, mouth slightly ajar.]

[Matsuda sees Light and starts running at him with wide arms.

At least until he sees him pass out, then Matsuda abruptly stops--swaying a little to catch his balance--features shifting into a look of horror.]

Oh no!!

[He runs to the unconscious Light, nearly topping over as he reaches him. Scrambling over to his hands and knees, Matsuda looks down at him.]

Light-kun!

[curtainwizard]

[Eyes opening very slightly, he looks back up. His arms are folded over his head, which feels like it's going to explode, and as for what he's seeing...]

Matsuda?

[reaching out fast to grab your collar] Bastard! Idiot!

... at least you aren't really here.

[Then he blanks out again for a few seconds, arm dropping to the floor.]

[[OOC: Why, yes, this is the first time he's run into a Matsuda since that unfortunate getting-shot business. xD ]]

[His eyes widen suddenly as Light grabs his collar.]

[That hurt. That really hurt. And boy, was his head spinning. He wished he could think a little clearer so he could help Light. Even with the harsh words snarled at him, he doesn't leave his side.]

Help! Somebody! Light-kun needs help!

[Matsuda touches his shoulder.]

Come on, Light-kun! You need to get up!

[OOC: xD!! And poor Matsuda is taken from well before then.]

[Matt steps in and... trips over his own feet, luckily not dropping his cigarette in the process. He spots curtainwizard as he's getting his feet back under himself, and snorts a laugh. Everything seems very spinny, fuzzy-edged, and amusing.]

Is the- the kitchen, or whatever, a drug room again? What?
