When Players Fail Diplomacy Checks

You know, a good way to get a DM to work out problems you have with a character build is to insult him at the game table in front of everybody, whisper in his wife's ear to get her to talk some sense into him, and proclaim that your satisfaction of the DM's effort to resolve your frustration will depend on what the DM produces after shifting gears to satisfy just you rather than write adventure for the group.

I say that with all due sarcasm.
