Update of a sort and another update I was waiting for and it finally came...

I've stopped even thinking about Captive Prince since Freece's updates became so erratic. The only reason I started reading such an involved original WIP was because she promised regular updates. Anyway, the story is very good but waiting months in between chapters is not to my taste in this instance because of the slow development. I'd rather wait to get the whole thing at once. I suspect it will read much better in its entirety than it does with such long lapses in between chapters.

Anyway, I remember you are a writer. I look forward to reading your new story. I'm sure it will be a real treat.

When did you stop following the story? The last dozen or so chapters have been especially good...

I stopped reading other WIP that take a long time between updates, but for me (while maddening) the wait between updates hasn't affected my enjoyment of her story. I'll admit it's mostly because I adore the main character, Damen is just so wonderful...

And about the story: I hope I won't disappoint. I originally got the core idea about four years ago but haven't had time to write it. It'll have tons of hurt/comfort for Clark and Bruce will come to his rescue... I'm hoping it will work out, but it's got an ending I want write, if that makes sense.

I've read them all, just not with the previous bated breath. I simply read them when I've nothing else to do. The story maintains its incredibly high quality and standards. I just feel the long breaks does it a disservice. For example, I felt Freece changed the way she wrote Damen this chapter. All of a sudden, he seemed to have an inner canvas that wasn't in evidence in prior chapters. I feel I need to read it from the beginning again, to get a good feel for the pacing, but I don't want to go there because only God knows when the next chapter will appear and I'm getting the feeling that this section of the story is going to conclude a "book" and we're going to have to wait forever to find out what happens on Damen's end of the world.

Anyway, just me being peevish. LOL

I'm excited to know you have a Supes/Bats in the works. I'm sure it will be marvelous. :)
