From what I've discerned, the book is a terrible fan-fic-like crapload which should never have been published.

Sweet. I asked my mom if i could upgrade my computer(s) soon... I love my Macs but they do lag a bit, the laptop in particular. The reason I gave her was that they're gonna stop making software for both Intel and PowerPC, and just solely for Intel. now, this is kinda true.
