Due to some chest pains, I visited my doctor recently. He told me to get a stress test. Made an appointment and did that last Friday. That doctor told me it looked like I probably had blockages on my cardiac arteries. And scheduled me with his partner for the past Monday. Went in and they found two blockages, both at 95%. Fixed them. Spent a not-so-restful night at the hospital. Came home Tuesday. Took of yesterday. Fun, fun, fun.
The whole operation was kind of neat (from an outside perspective). They started at my femoral artery at my groin and ran a tube from there up to my heart. And from there inserted the dyes to look for the blockages and the balloon to get rid of it and the stents to keep it open.
Also used some time of new plug at the insertion point which helps it to heal quicker and dissolves away, so no stitches and nothing to remove.
Oh, and one piece of advice: If your body complains, try to keep the denial phase as short as possible. Go see a doctor.
