Made it safely to Ohio and back. My lady returned safely from Denver. Both she, I, and the girl called Step made it safely up to and back from PA. The LAN fest was reasonably fun but slightly disappointing since it was all Half-Life with no leavening with Warcraft or Age of Kings much less board games (though I was told to be sure to bring ( Read more... )

I had gone to a fast food place on a previous vacation and had a pretty good chicken fried steak sandwich. I thought it might have been Hardees. Either it wasn't or they no longer have it. Maybe it was Roys.

There's a Roy Rogers in La Plata. anneb says there's one in Manassas.

Then, of course, there's Roy's Place in Rockville, which is an entirely different (albeit excellent) beast. If you and your Lady want to meet there for dinner some time, I'm up for that.

Yes, but does Roy Rogers actually have the chicken fried steak sandwich? This isn't just an opportunity for you to place tabasco on your chicken.

Oops! I didn't see one on the menu, though I forgot to mention that.
They do have a breaded chicken sandwich, in case that tickles your fancy. I got two of them by accident. They were good.
