Your problem is that you are way too subtle.
I would have just turned around & said something directly to her,
along the lines of, "Please don't try to push ahead, I have a
small child, here."

No, she didn't. She got what she wanted, she (in her mind) justified her atrocious behaviour, so I guess she was done.

And for the record, the other thing I was about to say was "if you don't get your arm out of there, I'll break it off and shove it down your throat." But it didn't seem like quite the right thing to say. You're response was too nice, too.

I have to agree with Goldsquare. A woman like that must have had a capacious bosom that would have looked better with (accidental) cake on it. But then, you are a gentleman, aren't you?
