Then spent an hour or two helping push cars down our street.

I've missed adventure.

Hey man, don't be dissing on the Cally. We have adventure too... like... should I wear the short sleeve shirt in winter because the temperature plummeted to 60-something. Or having to figure out it one should drive with the top up or down. All kinds of weather related decisions.

And sometimes in the winter, water falls from the sky, and you have to remember how to turn on the windshield wipers... I know, I know. Still, I feel like I've been missing out on a bit of variety.

Any tips on surviving the CA winter?

I defended my PhD yesterday (some revisions to make before my thesis is done). I'm starting work at Sun in Santa Clara in mid-Jan. Downgrading to an apartment will be fun...

California winters are dull. Just hope for an earthquake to relieve the boredom, I guess. Where're you working?
