Warcraft 3 refuses to run on this computer, and I do not know why.

Basically, the sound for the opening movie plays, but no graphics are shown. After the sound of the movie finishes, nothing. Black screen all the way

If you have Vista, I'd blame that. If you don't, then I have no idea what the problem might be.

It's weird: My "gaming" rig can't play Space Empires V unless I edit the config file to disable music. My laptop? No problem. My workstation? No problem.

I only barely played my copy of WC3, so I don't have any actual advice. Sorry, man.

Apropos not to this post but to your gaming tag, have you found a place that sells CoH monthly cards yet? If not, have you tried sending the money earmarked for such an endeavor (via PayPal, I suppose) to a trusted friend in the States, who could then purchase a card for you and email you the number?

This idea suddenly came to me this morning, although I suspect you've probably already thought of this system and are using it or rejected it.

Yeah, I found one store selling CoH time cards. When they run out and before the new shipment comes in, I go through withdrawal.

I'm a bit wary of using Paypal nowadays, mostly because it was a pain to switch cards from my old Singaporean one to my US one, and it will be an equal pain switching from US to Singaporean. (Also, lots of bad reports about excessive Paypal charges from word-of-mouth.)

Hmm, yeah, PayPal has become increasingly sketchy over the years. I keep thinking about pulling my money out of it, but I'm too lazy and forgetful. ;) Since that's not an option, you can also always use the old methods: international wire transfer, international money order, going through the mafia... you know, the old methods. ;D
