wait, I don't get it. she got married to an American citizen in the U.S. doesn't that make her a legal citizen too?

No she has to file for citizenship and go through all the legal stuff. It actually can make it harder =/

True dat. The difficulty is compounded when the immigration dicks continually fuck us over by:

1) Not sending us a letter telling us we had an appointment for biometrics, and then denying our case for missing the appointment. Our lawyer had to hassle their asses until they re-instated our case and we had to wait 4 months for another appointment.

2) Not putting the correct status on Monika's green card, forcing her to pay a fee for a form she shouldn't have filed in the first place, and making us have to hire another lawyer to intervene yet again due to personnel error.

3) Being inhuman.
