Yesterday i went to Davis Square in Somerville with an FTM (female to male) friend. We met up at the Diesel Cafe, but i asked him if he minded going someplace else to eat. We decided to go to Redbones. It is a Texas type BBQ place that is supposed to be the best BBQ restaurant in all of Massachusetts. i've heard people talk about it before. A nurse ( Read more... )

So you are a Bostonian I take it. I used to live in Conn. Visit R.I. and Mass all the time. I spent time in Brockton,Mass with a bunch of metal kids and went to Boston for shows when this old band called The MArch would play up there. I also experienced the stinkiest urinal in the known universe in a pub restroom under a lattice work of freeway overpasses somewhere in some old Irish neighborhood.

thats cool. yeah, i live in arlington. it is right next to cambridge and somerville. i know brockton. i have had some friends from there. i can just imagine the stinky urinal, we have a lot of those. especially in an irish pub. i have been to conn. twice. i go to r.i. a lot.

If someone asked for a square in this neck of the woods I don't think they'd be referring to a ciggerette. I quit. Man. All yesterday I just wanted one SO bad even though it's been months. 0.o

i would like to quit but i just don't know if i can do it. i hope someday i can.
and yeah, most people around here don't even know what a square is. it's very much street lingo

lol. that actually makes a lot more sense. i have no idea why cigarettes are called squares.

Never heard of the 'square'...funny.. you do meet some strange guys... or whatever! makes life interesting, and the restaurant too, it makes our little hick town Hotels seem tame... although if I wrote about the characters there I suppose they might be funny too... Great, enjoy every day, as every day is precious.

as i was saying to mcpia (also from australia) in this thread, most people, even in the boston area don't know what a square is. it's mostly used by street kids and gangsters. and i think just in the boston area, but i dunno.
but yeah, i had a nice time and i do meet some strange people (:
