well, fortunately i like rosanna arquette and i still like the song. but i was sick of it for a long time cuz it was often on my playlist for a long time. now that some time has gone by, i like it again

I don't dislike her at all, I just thought of the song somehow being about a "bigger" love -- bigger than Pete & Rosanna. But really, when it comes to love, what I know wouldn't fill a thimble.

ok. i get what you're saying, yeah. i always thought of it as being about love in a different sene than a relationship too, but it inspired a good song and sometimes relationship love does that...like the beatles songs were maybe about their partners, but it came out as love peace and harmony kind of stuff.
